Staff Accountant

Janz Corporation has a new and exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant. We are looking for a motivated and resourceful individual that would be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, government agency collections, bank/account reconciliations and supporting the controller and CFO with special project completion.  Additionally the staff accountant position will build strong relationships with key customers to positively impact lives of patients, customers, employees, and business partners by keeping their best interest at heart.


Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the JANZ accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile vendor, bank and credit card statements
  • Receive payments and distribute payments to and from customers/vendors
  • Enter all vendor invoices into the accounts payable system (NetSuite); verify all information is correct
  • Process all credit card payments and deposit checks
  • Invoice government customers through various online platforms and track the collection process.  Follow up on project/payment status 
  • Maintain, bill and reconcile all service contracts
  • Process orders and maintain customer contacts within the JANZ ecommerce platfom
  • Communicate with logistics, purchasing, and insurance billing departments for order accuracy and timeliness
  • Communicate with our vendor partners regarding outstanding invoices and potential payment opportunities.
  • Create opportunities, contacts, payment history notes and results in NetSuite. 
  • Follow up with vendor inquiries in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare portions of the monthly senior ownership financial package
  • Brief ownership, CFO and Controller on task status
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You will Need to be Successful:

  • Associate’s degree in Business, accounting, finance or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1-3 years as an accounting clerk
  • NetSuite experience helpful
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with government customers
  • Strong telecommunication skills
  • Customer focused and a strong sense of people skills, building relationships
  • Data entry skills
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
